Meet THE ARTISTS

Based in Calgary, AB

Brett McCrady combines catchy melodies with thoughtful lyrics to share reflections on the human condition. The folk-pop singer/songwriter is based in Calgary, Alberta.

In July 2016, Brett was selected for The Prophets of Music’s Emerging Artist Program and recorded his EP “Drifting Through The Ordinary” at OCL Studios. The record is a 21-minute exploration of love, life and the in-between, with cinematic musical interludes, lush string arrangements and vibrant horn sections.

More recently, he has devoted his time as a session gun-for-hire recording and playing live with acts such as Wyatt C. Louis, Tyson Ray Borsboom, Buddy Elliott, Erika Mae and Nik Poli. He is currently working on his first solo release in nearly a decade with producer Colin Carbonera with songs slated for release later this year.

Based in Kelowna, BC

Okanagan-based artist Kailee Duggan has been honing her smooth, soulful folk sound since picking up a guitar at eight years old. In July 2025, she released her debut album, Train of Thought—a reflective collection of songs written over the past decade. The record finds beauty in life’s quieter moments, from embracing the present in “No Doubts,” to the steady work of self-love in “Orange Light,” and the vulnerable longing of the opening track, “Stumble.”

In March 2026, Kailee was selected as one of four BC artists to showcase in Toronto at the Women in Music Global Summit. She has opened for acclaimed Canadian artists including Dan Mangan, Steven Page, and Jill Barber, bringing her heartfelt performances to stages across the region.

Alongside her 9–5, Kailee works as a live music audio tech and booking agent, while continuing to write and prepare new songs for the studio later this year.

Based in Calgary, AB

CELIN’s music feels like golden-hour — warm, unhurried and good for the soul. Blending alternative pop and neo-soul, CELIN creates music that explores the highs, the lows, and the realities of mental health, identity, and growth. Drawing inspiration from Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Allen Stone, and Olivia Dean, the Calgary resident creates a sound that feels both familiar and fresh.

CELIN’s debut EP, Purely Chemical (April 2026), is a five-song project exploring themes of resilience and introspection, sharing personal stories that helped shape her. CELIN explains, “Purely Chemical came from a time in my life when I felt overwhelmingly lost, and these songs helped me find my way — I hope they can do the same for others.

Reflecting on why she makes music, CELIN explains, “I want to break down barriers and reduce stigmas by showing people the normalcy of the unordinary.”

About HMO

Hear Me Out is a songwriter series bringing local artists and audiences into local spaces—creating room for music, conversation, and real connection.

Built by an independent artist with a vision to fill a gap in the community, HMO goes beyond live shows. It’s about what happens because of them: discovering a new favourite artist, finding a spot you keep coming back to, or meeting people who get it.

Through curated pop-up showcases, HMO connects artists, supports local businesses, and creates space for something bigger to grow.

Music brings us together. The support that comes from it is what lasts.
